What we’re about
Agile Vancouver is a volunteer-driven community that supports the exchange of ideas and experiences around an agile mindset and agile approaches. We aim to serve the local community of agile practitioners by providing a platform for inspiration, learning, growth, connections and shared experiences.
No matter if you’re a seasoned agile practitioner or new to agile methodologies, we look forward to seeing you at our monthly (currently online) events, where leading agile practitioners from the Vancouver region and around the world share their stories, insights and experiences.
Join our Slack workspace to introduce yourself to the community, connect with others, ask questions or meet for (virtual) coffee.

See all- Scaling Agility - Lost in Translation - Simon Orrell (Virtual)Link visible for attendees
Many of you have been part of an 'agile transformation' or a ’scaling’ effort at your organizations. Some of you will have experienced success but many of you will have experienced less than stellar results and indeed perhaps witnessed regression to former less-than-agile behaviours. There are numerous frameworks, toolkits, and techniques available for organizations to adopt. For many, what has been lost in translation is the context in which those approaches might be suitable.
We’ll explore the implications of what I've learned in the last couple of decades about how to approach scaling agility. We’ll discuss some of the pitfalls people and organizations routinely encounter with some of the more popular approaches and we’ll discuss what to do about it.
